Privacy Policy

This policy covers mattgeer.com and all tools and content hosted on it, including Koalafied. It explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how you can request deletion.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is used across this site to understand traffic and usage patterns. GA4 may set cookies and collects information such as pages visited, time on site, and general location (country/region). No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

A custom analytics tracker also runs on this site alongside GA4. It is built with privacy in mind and does not use third-party cookies. It collects aggregate page view data to help understand which content is useful.

Email

Email addresses collected via newsletter sign-ups and the Koalafied tool are stored and managed in Kit (formerly ConvertKit). By submitting your email, you consent to receive emails from Matt Geer. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

If you submit the Koalafied form and later request deletion of your data, resubmitting the form constitutes a fresh opt-in under the same terms.

Koalafied — AI PM Career Intelligence Tool

What we collect

• Email address — stored in Kit until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Quiz answers — five multiple-choice answers you provide to personalize your report. Stored in Kit as subscriber tags (tied to your email) and in Upstash Redis (tied to your report UUID only, not your email). Upstash data expires automatically after 30 days.
• Report analysis — the AI-generated analysis of your resume and job description fit. Stored in Upstash Redis under a unique UUID. Expires automatically after 30 days. Not linked to your email address in storage.

What we do not store

• Your resume — sent to Anthropic's API for processing and then discarded. Never stored by Koalafied or Anthropic.
• The job description — same as above. Processed only, not retained.

Anthropic Claude API

Your resume and job description are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your report. Anthropic processes this data to produce the analysis and does not store it or use it to train AI models, per Anthropic's API Terms of Service. For details, see Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

Report links

Your report is accessible via a unique URL containing a random ID. Anyone you share this link with can view your report. Report links expire after 30 days — after that, the report is permanently deleted from our servers and the link will no longer work.

Cookies

This site uses minimal cookies. GA4 may set analytics cookies. The Koalafied tool uses browser session storage (not cookies) to hold form data temporarily in case you need to retry — this data never leaves your browser and is cleared when you close the tab.

Data deletion requests

To request deletion of your data, email mattdgeer@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Include the email address you used. We will delete your record from Kit and any associated data within a reasonable timeframe.

Report data in Upstash expires automatically after 30 days — no action required to delete it.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the service providers described above (Kit, Anthropic, Upstash, Google Analytics) as necessary to operate this site and its tools.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site and its tools evolve. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
